French Fashion ... S'il Vous Plait!

Today, I am writing about my favorite topic — fashion! My “turbans”/Chemo caps arrived from France today. I can’t believe I am excited by chemo caps, but I am. I am so picky about my chemo caps, and I found these great ones online from a company in France called MM Paris. I like something comfortable and stylish and unique. Usually, I can suffer a little discomfort for something that looks good, but with a sensitive bald head, comfort needs to come first. I may be a chemo cap snob, but I will only wear bamboo caps. I learned through the purchase of several cheap, sweaty, uncomfortable, scratchy caps that it is best to splurge on bamboo. It is so incredibly soft, and I can wear a bamboo cap day through night. I got some neutral grays, and I got a fun coral/gray one since the majority of my wardrobe is coral. I also got two knit headbands to wear over a white cap — one in a pretty autumn yellow and one in bright blue to wear when I go watch Aleks in her field hockey games — they are both her school colors! If I have to wear caps, I will feel better in something stylish and in something that I like. So, now I am set, but I have yet to lose all my hair! I can’t believe it is hanging in there! My ponytail gets thinner and thinner every day, but it is still there, so I am hanging onto it until I can no longer keep a ponytail holder in it!

When I finished treatment the first time I had cancer, I got rid of everything I had — surgical bras, drain holders, etc., but I kept my bamboo caps in case I ever needed them again. I am happy to have a collection going now because, much like shoes and handbags, a girl can never have enough chemo caps!

Chemo is tomorrow. Will post from the Chemo Cafe tomorrow!
