Filling My Bucket (List)

I made it! I made it to Pompeii! Thanks to a chemo break, I was able to achieve a lifetime goal of travelling to Italy. I thought if I could make it to Italy, I could die happy. But it only made me want to live and experience more. And thanks to some good news today, I will have that chance!

I just received a call from my oncologist’s office. They are thinking that the PET scan lit up in my liver because I have a hemangioma (benign) in my liver. My doctor is ordering an MRI to make sure everything is fine. I had another spot in my chest that lit up, and my doctor will order a CT scan to make sure everything is OK in that spot. If the imaging comes back normal, that would mean I’d have had another clear scan! SUCH a relief! I had my bloodwork this morning, and hopefully, when the results come back, everything will look OK, and my cancer markers will be low. Lesson learned: Do NOT try to diagnose myself from my reports! I may have been fighting this disease for the past 10 years and have learned way more about triple negative metastatic breast cancer than I ever wanted to know, but I am no doctor! Very thankful and grateful for mine. I’ll write again when I get the results from my bloodwork, and this time, I will not try to read into the results. I will only check my cancer markers to see if they’ve gone up.

Stay safe and healthy, everyone!
