The Physician Treats But Nature Heals — Hippocrates

I am settled into chemo today. It’s been a nice past couple of weeks. I am thoroughly enjoying the nice sunny days and the warmer weather! Last Wednesday, the Wellness House of Annapolis and the Eastport Yacht Club sponsored a boat cruise for cancer patients that we went on for more than two hours! We went out to the Bay Bridge and then South to a lighthouse. It was so great to be out on the water again and to talk with other cancer patients. There were three of us patients on the cruise, and we are all in remission, and all of us have the same doctor! We had a great time! It was the perfect weather, the perfect sunset and the perfect crew. Being on the water is the best medicine, and it makes me look forward to the future and very hopeful. I want a small house on or near the water. That’s the goal, or the dream anyway!

One of my friends sent me a couple songs after my last post, and the memories and good vibes are already rolling! I think this will be a great thing for me because the songs brought back good memories of good times.

The summer is going way too fast. Soon, we will be taking my daughter to college, and my next scan will be coming in September. I’ve been finding I am starting to dread these scans because I don’t want to know anything that will change things. I am happy with everything the way it is now. I’d be happy if things could just continue like this for years. I really wear out in the afternoons. My whole body just feels exhausted. But I can deal with that. My hair is mid length again, so I dread anything changing that might make me lose my hair again. But I’ll deal with it if I have to. I am just busy living and enjoying summer in the meantime. Not much else to write about today. I am doing great and feeling great! Hope you all are enjoying summer too! Will update again in two weeks from chemo! Stay safe and healthy, everyone!
