Bits and Masterpieces

I am all settled into chemo. It’s sunny and ideal out today ahead of the hurricane effects we’ll see later this week. Thinking of friends, family and everyone in Florida.

I came home yesterday to a package on my doorstep. It had my name and a heart written in marker on the outside. It was the art kit I received from Kits to Heart for my art therapy sessions coming up. I received some really great items and am excited to try them out, and I’m excited for the sessions, which will start in October. The supplies I received will be tools to help me create the art, but they will be more than that; they will be tools of coping, healing and hope. I’m excited to see what I’ll learn through the process and through the sessions.

Well, I will keep this short for once! Everything is going well! Will post again from chemo in two weeks or after my first art therapy session, whichever comes first. Can’t remember when my first session starts.  The next time I have chemo, I will get the bone strengthener. 😩
