Successful Surgery

I am home from surgery and am feeling really good. I had a long nap when I got home, and my pain is minimal. Best news — biopsy was negative. Woo hoo! Tomorrow is my appointment with my oncologist. Should be a good appointment since my imaging and biopsy were clear! Still waiting on my bloodwork, but I’m guessing everything will look good when that comes back. After this surgery, I feel like I can put all my worries about the pulmonary embolisms behind me. I am flying next week, so I’m a little nervous about blood clots. But it’s a direct flight, and I’m just going to make sure to walk a lot after I land. I had great nurses and a great surgery team today, and I even got into surgery early. I’m just so glad I switched my care down here. Everyone has been terrific, and it has been nice having all these appointments so close to home this week! Will update if I learn anything tomorrow at my doctor appointment. Have a good night, everyone!
