Happy and Hopeful
Happy and hopeful again after my doctor visit yesterday. I had myself convinced I had metastasis to my bones/ribs and spine. My primary care doctor is amazing and had my two problems identified right away. My neck pain is the result of a condition I have that makes my neck bulge. I go to the chiropractor to treat it. But I guess it makes my neck and shoulders really tight. So, he recommended heat, some stretches and prescribed a muscle relaxer. The pain in my rib is from some inflammation in my cartilage, so he prescribed an anti-inflammatory, and it will hopefully resolve itself in time. So, I am still cancer-free, and I am hopeful I can stay that way for as long as possible.
On another note, I took it easy and hydrated more than I usually do the day of and after my bone strengthener. And this was the first time it didn’t take me down! I’ve had a little nausea, but no muscle or joint pain and no headache even after chemo! So, I’ve been feeling great, and with my good news at the doctor and with the possibility of pain relief on the horizon, I am going to get back to doing well, not worrying until my next scan and just living life. I will write again from chemo in two weeks!
