Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2023: October is for Pumpkins!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Each October since I have been diagnosed, I have featured a product I love by a company that supports breast cancer awareness. Prevention and early detection ARE key. So, get your mammograms, get your ultrasounds if you have dense breast tissue (and find out if you do!), and do your self-exams! I cannot stress this enough! And support companies in the month of October that support breast cancer awareness.

I have loved Luke Adams’ glass pumpkins since I discovered them. I’m fascinated by the process of making them. My absolute favorite glass artist is Luke Adams and his team of glass artists. I recently had the opportunity to meet Luke and have him sign pumpkins I purchased at a signing event at Mt. Vernon.  I have started collecting their glass pumpkins and will decorate my Thanksgiving table with them this year. They will be on pedestals of varying heights, the centerpiece of my table, and they will be surrounded by velvet pumpkins in matching colors and glass taper candleholders that will tie everything together.

So, when I discovered that Luke Adams and his team had created breast cancer awareness pumpkins, I had to have one! But the best thing was when I found out that they support breast cancer awareness this October and are offering BOGO breast cancer awareness pumpkins for a limited time this month – one for you and one for you to gift to anyone who has been affected by breast cancer. What a great idea!  They are stunning. They would give light and hope and just something good and beautiful to anyone during a dark time who is dealing with breast cancer.

The breast cancer awareness pumpkins are stunning in a brilliant pink. I love mine because it’s something beautiful that does give me hope and also reminds me of all the beautiful things in life that I have gained, become aware of, and feel blessed to have learned on my breast cancer journey. I just returned home from Minnesota, where I attended a funeral for one of my lifelong friends, only to have to fly to Wisconsin for the funeral of my beloved grandmother. I was surrounded by other lifelong friends and family, and friends and family are the most important things in my life. When I look at my breast cancer awareness pumpkin, I see the beauty of memories, friends and family, my amazing support. Gifting a breast cancer awareness pumpkin to someone would be a show of support for anyone who has been affected by cancer. And support is so very important. So, I encourage you to check out Luke Adams’ and his teams’ stunning and brilliant pink glass pumpkins during this October, the month to highlight breast cancer awareness. Support me and other cancer patients, and support Luke Adams and his team, who understand the importance of breast cancer awareness. Their pumpkins can be found at www.1hotpieceofglass.com. The breast cancer awareness pumpkins and directions for how to BOGO can be found here: www.1hotpieceofglass.com/products/breast-cancer-awareness-pumpkin-2023?variant=40700234072134

And if you search for BREAST CANCER on their web site, you can find links for different sizes of breast cancer awareness pumpkins, their glow-in-the-dark and glow-stem breast cancer awareness pumpkins and other breast cancer awareness products. And while you’re there, browse through all the other gorgeous pumpkins and other items for sale. I think they’re all amazing!

And during this October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I want to thank all the businesses that support breast cancer awareness, especially Luke Adams and his team, and all of you who are my supporters on this journey. I am one lucky lady to have you all on my journey. My mom always says she wishes it were her going through this journey instead of me. I am glad it is me instead of her and instead of any of you. So, make sure to do your self-exams and get your mammograms and ultrasounds! And thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for all of your support.
